MEET THE ADVERTISER————-OLD CAR STUFF
A few years back our buddy Randy Clark, owner of Hot Rods and Custom Stuff, realized he had a problem around the shop. What happens when you replace that flathead with a chevy? upgrade those old 40 drums to disco’s? customers car is to nice to use that bitch’n old patina 34 grille on? the new shop project comes with a ton of extra parts? All those spares and left overs seem like a great idea to keep around, that is until the shop is overflowing, the storage yard is bursting at the seams and your own garage is getting hard to walk through. Randy’s solution to the problem was to buy the building below the shop and open up “Old Car Stuff” a place where he could unload the overstock.
What started as a place to unload his own and the shops stuff soon turned into a thriving business of its own. The crew at old car stuff, James and DJ, take in new parts both from the shop up the hill and stuff that comes wondering in off the street. Located in Escondido, they’re in the middle of a hotbed of local hot rod, restoration, and fab shops. The stock seems to rotate almost daily as new stuff comes in and the old stuff finds a life in someone else project. You never know what you may find, from kelsey’s to old ford spindles, dozens of headlights, piles of frames, just about every imaginable vintage engine, complete body’s, hoods, fenders, doors, grilles, radiators, even down to the small stuff, brand specific brackets and hardware? they’ve got tons, gauges, radiators, there’s even a few semi complete projects kickin’ around the place, and the list goes on and on. If you’re looking for that hard to find piece or just looking for that new issue of Hop Up stop by and see the boys at, 446 enterprise, Escondido ca. 92029 or give em’ a call at 1-800-hotrod5, you can also visit them on the web at hotrodscustomstuff.com or keep track off the gang on instagram @oldcarstuff to see what kinda stuff they’re dragging in on a regular basis.
