Well I might be late to the punch on getting up some coverage for y’all on the roundup, but better late than never right . As usual the roundup is a very special event for us . It marks our year Anniversary of the book and is a homecoming of sorts for all the folk we know . Seems like people from all over the country and world travel to Austin Texas to take over for a weekend . By now South Congress is back to its sleepy demeanor, but for this one weekend its filled with anything and everything you can imagine. We kicked off the weekend Friday night with a release party over with our friends at Austin Speed shop. We had a great turnout of hot rods and custom cars and more importantly you guys the drivers. 805 beer was on hand to wet your whistle and Coop the renowned artist spun vinyl all night. It was a really good time and want to thank everyone who made it out , it was a hit. Saturday cars were parked as far as the eye could see, it was hard to get to all of them but there were a ton of good trad rods and customs out there to see and talk to the owners in the relaxed environment. The rain held out for most of the morning but broke in the afternoon getting people into the swap meet to see what they needed for their next project. Id have to say people in Texas price stuff to move, there were loads of deals to be had. If you’ve never been to this one id say get on board and show up , or if Luisiana is closer make it to the Bayou Roundup I know thats gonna be one hell of a show.
