The 68th Annual Detroit Autorama

What can you really say about the Detroit Autorama that hasn’t already been said dozens of times over the course of the previous 67 years? In all honesty, not much. Detroit is one of those events that is as much about the people as it is about the cars. The friends from far off places that we only see there and the new relationships that we establish every year. We may say that we are going for the hot rods but, in all reality, they are simply the catalyst for this big, crazy family that we all belong to.

Sure, there is the prestigious Ridler Award, but the cars that compete for it rarely translate to the world that you and I exist in. For us, Detroit is largely about the basement. While it has had its ups and downs, the spirit and energy have remained the same. Real hot rods and customs, real people and a whole lot of fun! Check out the pics, including the incredible display of five of the most significant hot rods in history. I would list them all here, but I have faith in you and am certain that you will recognize each and every one! Don’t be lame, this time next year, drag your ass to the Motor City!
