With no more Giants in Southern England left to kill, The Vultures CC have never the less, retained the name for what was their fourth run for cool traditional cars (and people), plus the second one at the awesome Knoll Hill Farm Campsite in the green and pleasant English county of Dorset. As usual, plenty of cool rods, customs, bikes and even a few vans came along for the party. Not even a heavy rainstorm and wind gusting in from the coast dampened spirits on the Saturday, and it soon blew through. A special feature this year was a hosted informal chat session with members of the UK’s original Low Flyers club regaling us with some great and hilarious stories. In case you didn’t know, these guys turned hot rodding on its head in the ’80’s by building raw basic hot rods put together with left over parts from the street rodders of the time, many of them Flathead powered, rough and ready,  they drove them everywhere with not one lawn chair or polishing rag in sight! Often shunned by established events, they still caused a big stir, and were not unnoticed when documented in US magazines of the time. They pretty much kicked off the traditional scene in England we know now, and that’s a fact. Two awesome live bands took the party into the late evening, a Rolling Stones tribute band and the wild early R&B/Soul sounds of Sister Suzie, rounding off another excellent GK run.
