Staying cool and American Made

U.S.Radiator

When it comes to our hotrods Custom cars and dailies, we strive to have a reliable turn key unit that we can jump in and not have to worry. I know every time I get in an old car the work I've done goes rucking through my head as I embark on my journey going through each component to the chassis and suspension down to the valves and bolts in the motor. One thing we all must rely on and is out of most of our wheel houses is the cooling system. Ive gone cheap and gone pricey, you can spend your money anyway you like. If you go cheap well that might work for a while but those chinese radiators will give you grief somewhere down the road assure me, Ive been there and thats how I met Don Armstrong from US Radiator in Vernon ,Ca. Dons a great guy and has been there himself as he is a very active hotrodder and builder along with his daughter Shawn who helps run the shop. This aint no dinky rad shop this is the end all be all rad shop and your surrounded by people that know whats up.

Don was gracious enough to run me through the building process he takes on , from raw materials coming in one door and the finished product going out the other. He can seriously accommodate anything you can think of as he has it all in house. wanna run a 1400 HP motor and don't have room for a rad? well he can help you achieve it and have that little mother running cool as ice. All it takes is a phone call down there and the boys and girls will have you sorted with the best possible configuration for your needs.

Not only do they build radiators they go above and beyond to make them look right . No need in searching for that top tank for your 32 anymore they have made countless dies and patterns and press out their own tanks to medick the originals to a T.  They ask what size outlets and inlets you want and where you want them. This can be a full custom deal as no-one really is doing the same thing. The radiators cool the best around, and I know this from experience believe me . Im a firm believer in some stuff out there and have told just about anyone that has come to me with their cooling woahs to go talk to Don and Shawn. Its a no brainer really. The rads come in a variety of cooling from OEM all the way to high efficiency and with AC condensers if you like being cool. I personally stick to the brass type rads but they do offer aluminum models if thats your speed and all packages can be cocktailed with shrouds and fans if you like . one stop shop that has helped me  breath a sigh of relief when it comes to cooling.

Give their website a look and give em a call next time you need some advice or a hand in cooling , they have the answers.
